The Birth of a Vision

Frontline Church began at the beginning of 2021 in the hearts of a few followers of Jesus who sensed that God was calling them to plant a faithfully-present, Gospel-centered, Spirit-empowered church in the Fayetteville/Ft. Bragg area. We gathered to pray, seeking God’s direction and the heart of Jesus for what this new church might become. Our desire was simple and yet profound: to see Christ formed in people and to be a light in our city, multiplying disicples, groups and churches that love God, love people and push back darkness.

The Church is a People

Because we believe that the church isn’t a building you go to or an event you attend, but a people you belong to because of the finished work of Jesus, we began meeting in homes and around kitchen tables. These gatherings were intimate, filled with conversation, prayer, and a deep sense of community. In these early days, we learned what it meant to love one another deeply, to listen, and to grow together. It was in these homes that the foundation of Frontline Church was truly laid—a foundation of authentic relationships and a shared commitment to follow Jesus together.

Our First Gathering Space

As our community grew in the spring of 2021, so did our need for a space to gather. We found our first meeting place, a humble spot that became our home for worship, teaching, and fellowship. This space was more than just a building; it was where we began to see our vision come to life. We experienced the joy of worshiping together, formed our first church membership, and baptized people who were testifying to the grace of Jesus in their lives and begging Jesus to do the same in the lives of others.

Finding Our Current Building

At the end of 2021, after much prayer and searching, Jesus provided us with a building that we could call our own at 6781 Camden Rd. in Fayetteville. This was a significant milestone for Frontline Church, a place where we could plant deep roots and expand our ministry. The building became a hub for us to gather on Sundays and from which to scatter throughout the week. It is a reminder of God’s faithfulness and provision every time we walk through the doors.

Jesus is Worth It

Today, Frontline Church continues to grow and thrive as a faithfully present people laboring to know Christ and make him known. As of the summer of 2024, we’re a community of around 350 people, deeply committed to our mission of being faithfully present wherever God has placed us. In this season, we’re continuing to ask God to do more than we can think or imagine (Ephesians 3:20-21) and in faith believing that He will actually do it. He who promised is faithful. We want to continue to lay a gospel foundation that will have generational impact (Psalm 102:18) long after those of us who started this church have gone to be with Jesus.
