Psalm 78 ultimately leads us to Jesus, the true and greater Shepherd who secures what generations of God’s people never could through their own faithfulness. Where Israel forgot and we drift, Christ remains perfectly faithful, acting first to seek, save, and hold us fast by grace rather than performance. Because our hope rests in Him—not our consistency—we can pursue faithfulness and pass it on to the next generation from a place of deep security, knowing the Shepherd who began the work will carry it to completion.
