"How can we turn our knowledge about God into knowledge of God?
The rule for doing this is simple but demanding.
It is that we turn each truth that we learn about
God into matter for meditation before God,
leading to prayer and praise to God."
-J.I. Packer

Modules Overview

Our modules are designed to help participants grow in their understanding of Scripture, theology, and spiritual formation through guided teaching, discussion, and community. Module 1 covers Genesis–Deuteronomy, exploring the foundations of the biblical story through creation, covenant, the Exodus, the Law, and God’s faithfulness to His people. Modules 2 & 4 are two shorter modules covering the period of the conquest of the Promised Land, and then the return from Babylonian exile and captivity, helping participants trace Israel’s history, restoration, and the unfolding story of redemption throughout the Old Testament. Through weekly readings, class discussion, and practical application, participants are equipped to engage Scripture more deeply and connect God’s story to their own lives and ministry.

Course Rhythms

The Biblical Formation Course will follow the same rhythms as our Small Groups, shaped by a pattern of intentional labor and rest that reflects how God designed us to live. This includes three primary terms throughout the year:

  • Term One: February–April, followed by rest in May
  • Term Two: June–July, followed by rest in August
  • Term Three: September–November, followed by rest in December
January serves as a time of training and reorientation to help leaders and participants remain aligned with these rhythms.

The Biblical Formation Course will operate within these terms, allowing for structured seasons of learning, formation, and rest in step with the church’s broader discipleship rhythms.
