A Generation Yet to Come | Pt. 2 - Vision 2026: The Call to Generational Faithfulness | Psalm 78:1-8

Jan 11, 2026    John Murphy

In Psalm 78, God calls His people to generational faithfulness—a way of life rooted in remembering His past faithfulness, living with intentional presence today, and passing on a bold, grace-filled faith to those yet to come. As we reflect on the stories of those who came before us, we are reminded that forgetfulness is the great danger of God’s people, but remembrance fuels faith. God invites us to build our lives not merely for the next season, but for generations unborn, trusting that our everyday obedience matters in His unfolding story. Though this calling can feel overwhelming, our hope is not in our own faithfulness but in Jesus Christ—the perfectly faithful One—who bore our failures, secured our salvation, and now empowers us by His Spirit to live lives that echo into the future for the glory of God.
